Founded in early 2006 by Jérôme Paulet, the improvisation theater association “Les Givrés” is an institution in Valence. With 30 to 40 shows per year, the troupe has established itself as a key player in the local cultural scene.
A talent pool
More than just a theater troupe, Les Givrés are a veritable breeding ground for actors. Athletes would tell you that it is a training club. Each year, the association trains new improvisers, some of whom then create their own troupes.
Assass’Impro: A Cluedo revisited
In this unique show, the audience is immersed in an improvised police investigation. Six actors play colorful characters whose murderer must be determined. To do this, the audience is led to make choices that influence the unfolding of the story.
The pleasure of putting yourself in danger
For the Givrés actors, improvisation is above all a challenge and a Source of pleasure. “We put ourselves in danger a little each time,” confides Jérôme Paulet, founder of the association. “But that’s exactly what makes exercise so stimulating.”
A promising future
With continued strong enthusiasm for improvisational theater, Les Givrés has a bright future ahead of them. The association continues to recruit new members and offer ever more innovative shows.
The interview with Jérôme Paulet was produced on the occasion of the “Assass’Impro” on Friday May 3, 2024 at the Théâtre de la Ville de Valence.
