Monday September 30, 2024, a traffic accident took place on the cantonal road linking La Brévine to Fleurier, causing significant disruption in the region. Around 11:15 a.m., a truck, driven by a 22-year-old young man from La Sagne, rolled onto its side after trying to avoid a vehicle coming in the opposite direction.

The truck ended up across the roadway, blocking traffic in both directions. The driver, slightly injured, was quickly treated by emergency services and transported to hospital. Firefighters also intervened on site to contain the oil leaks, in order to avoid any pollution in this sensitive area.

The road was closed until 4:00 p.m., time for intervention teams to free the truck and secure the area. This incident caused significant disruption for road users, who had to take diversion routes for several hours.

The Neuchâtel cantonal police remind you of the importance of caution on the roads, particularly in conditions that may require sudden maneuvers, as was the case in this accident.
