A 42-year-old man lost his life during a wild boar hunt on Saturday September 28 in Bussy-Albieux, in the Loire department.
It was around 3 p.m. when emergency services were called, writes the weekly Le Pays. Unfortunately, firefighters and emergency workers were unable to revive the victim, who was in cardiorespiratory arrest when they arrived. The unfortunate man would have received a stray bullet to the head.
Identify the shooter
A farmer in Pommiers-en-Forez, the deceased was participating in the hunt when he received the fatal blow. An investigation has been opened for manslaughter, the Saint-Etienne public prosecutor’s office said. The perpetrator of the shooting has not yet been identified.
The police used a helicopter. The challenge was to place all the participants in the same place where they were at the time of the tragedy. When the 42-year-old farmer was shot in the head, several hunters were shooting at two wild boars who were also shot.
All the participants in this raid were to be heard by the gendarmes on Sunday September 29.
