VILLENEUVE-LEZ-AVIGNON New concept at the “Celtic Beaumont” pub

On the heights of Villeneuve-lez-Avignon, near the Jean-Vilar high school, there is an address well known to young people looking for a place to drink a soda or eat fries. The café-snack has changed hands and concepts. The contract was signed on March 1. Julien Gautier is now at the head of this place.

After several days of work, the establishment reopened on April 10 under a new name “Celtic Beaumont”. “It’s a tribute to my grandfather. He was the president of my first swimming club in Marseille which was called that”, reports the new manager, who previously ran the Racing kart club Beaucaire.

The doors of “Celtic Beaumont” are still wide open to young people. In the evening, it becomes a friendly place to have a drink and order tapas after work. Julien Gautier wants to recreate a “pub” atmosphere with the broadcast of sporting events on three flat screens: “There will not only be football but also rugby, Formula 1… We will also broadcast the Euro and the Olympic Games”, he says.

Customers will be able to enjoy a wide choice of beers with nine different taps (including Guiness) and eight bottled references. Between the room and the veranda, the bar has around sixty seats. Next big date on Friday May 24 for an 80s evening.
