Rainy event, happy event? This is what should await the people who had planned to march in the streets of Paris on the occasion of May 1st. After having triggered it for Tuesday April 30, 2024, Meteo France placed again Paris and Île-de-France in yellow alert for thunderstorms.

“Locally strong” storms

Disruptions are expected for the end of the day, starting from 18 hours. According to the meteorological institute, the stormy development could be “locally strong”. “Thunderstorms can be locally strong, accompanied by hail and of gusts Wind strong, and occasionally give high rainfall totals on Île-de-France. The color of vigilance is therefore likely to change for Wednesday,” warns Meteo France.

And the situation is not expected to improve in the days to come. On Thursday, gusts of up to 40 km/h are expected, before clearings on Friday, but the return of rain on Saturday and Sunday.
