DC Carhaix (R3) won the Central Brittany derby against Rostrenen FC (R3). An intense and crazy match, marked, in particular, by three red cards.

All the ingredients were there to experience a great evening of football at the Charles-Pinson stadium: the stakes with a fourth round of the Coupe de France at night, the atmosphere with two kops, a big crowd with 1,100 spectators and a derby opposing DC Carhaix to their neighbor Rostrenen FC. A derby won painfully by the locals (2-1).
From the start, the visitors attacked with good catches from Caudal who struck (4′) and then served I. Leroux (19′). The Carhaisiens responded straight away with a blocked shot from Lebon well served in depth by his goalkeeper (25′). Caudal’s shot, again, did not go far before returning to the locker room (45’+1).
A great Brigadier
The locals took the lead from the start of the second half. Firstly by captain Roslagadec who headed a cross from Le Bournot (1-0, 49′). A few minutes later, Masson hit the nail on the head after a mess in front of Thieffin’s cage (2-0, 52′).
Returning at half-time, Douniama caused a penalty on his right side, converted by Le Roux (2-1, 62′). Behind, and despite the expulsion of two Rostrenen players, a big Brigardis was needed in the cages to keep the advantage, author – among other things – of a magnificent save in front of the head of Tassi Moale who took the path of the net (90’+3).
“I came to Carhaix partly to experience these kinds of matches. There was good opposition up front, we managed the numerical superiority poorly. We fell a bit into the euphoria of the match. We must congratulate Rostrenen for their journey,” reacted Jimmy Lesniewski, coach of DC Carhaix, for whom this match had a particular flavor.
