A specialist in comprehensive waste management, the Passenaud group has had a site in Laval (Mayenne) in the Les Touches industrial zone since 2007. In 2017, “significant work related to the storage and processing of materials has been carried out”, explains the group. Shortly, “the administrative and social buildings will get a facelift and expand”.

Originally from Sarthe, the family business is located in the west of France with 14 sites in Pays de la Loire, Brittany, Normandy and Center and has 245 employees.

Nearly 400 m² on two levels

In Laval, over more than 30,000 m², the company serves “professionals, individuals and communities within a radius of approximately 50 km”. The site “receives, stores and processes 38,000 tonnes of waste per year: metals, paper/cardboard, wood, plastics, waste electrical and electronic equipment, end-of-life vehicles, rubble and hazardous waste”, lists the Passenaud group.

The old buildings of 150 m², “deemed too dilapidated, will be demolished and replaced by a more modern construction of 392 m²”on two levels.

Start of work in September

The new building will accommodate “offices and spaces dedicated to clients and the 13 current employees”, with larger spaces, a refectory and a raised terrace of 23 m². Amount of investment: €700,000.

The surroundings of the site will be “completely redesigned: pedestrian crossing, disabled access, parking spaces, etc. The building permit has just been submitted. The work should begin in September 2024, for a duration of approximately 8 months,” specifies the Passenaud group.
