The Marne, the Ardennes and the Aisne were already placed on yellow alert against storms this Sunday, May 19. They will be again on this Pentecost Monday. Like a large part of France, moreover, since 87 departments are concerned.

The alert will come into effect at 2 p.m. in Marne and the Ardennes, and at 3 p.m. in Aisne. It will remain until midnight in the three departments.

According to Météo France forecasts, the risk of storms breaking out is greater in Aisne than in the other two departments. Thunderstorms are therefore forecast over the majority of the department this afternoon. Only Thiérache could be spared.

In the evening, they should still concern the west and south of the department, from Saint-Quentin to Château-Thierry via Soissons.

The forecaster is not currently announcing any storms in the Marne and the Ardennes, but the change to yellow alert indicates that the situation could change over the course of the day.

Météo France is also planning a yellow “thunderstorms” alert in the three departments for Tuesday, from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. for Marne and the Ardennes and from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. for Aisne.
