SDX Energy launches gas production in Morocco

The company SDX Energy Inc. has taken an important step in its activities in Morocco by officially launching its gas production, after obtaining the necessary government authorizations.


According to a company press release published Monday, gas production has started at the KSR-21 well located in the Gharb region, near Kenitra.

This start follows the success of the drilling tests carried out by SDX last January, during the fourth quarter of 2023. These tests made it possible to connect the well to the existing infrastructure, in anticipation of the launch of production once government authorizations are obtained. obtained.

SDX Energy holds a 75% direct interest in its entire Moroccan portfolio, including exploration permits, concessions and gas wells. The company markets gas to eight customers, at contractual prices varying between 10 and 12 USD/Mcf.
