Descriptive text here

The textile and leather goods sector is looking to recruit in Indre. And the needs are significant: there are 180 positions to be filled according to Travail. To attract candidates, several companies in the sector were present during the forum organized at Mach 36 in Déols on Friday April 12. Collective information for those who wish to join the Rioland company is organized this April 29.

Between 150 and 200 leather workers recruited at Rioland

The largest employer in the sector is undoubtedly the leather goods company Rioland, with its 1,100 employees. It now has a total of nine sites, including seven in Indre, one in La Souterraine (Creuse) and one in (), and its own internal training body. To access it, you must first participate in a collective meeting, the next one is scheduled for April 29, then take aptitude tests. There are between 10 and 14 people per training session; sessions which each last 11 weeks.

We are starting to dry up part of the basin, particularly in the north of the department, which is not renewing itself as quickly as we are developing.” analyzes Alexia Rousse, responsible for recruitment and external communications at Rioland. It must be said that the needs are significant: each year Rioland recruits on average between 150 and 200 leather workers.

Mark and Balsan are also looking to recruit

Companies in the sector in Indre are sometimes forced to do a little elbow work to attract candidates. Right next to the Rioland stand, the company Marck et Balsan, based in Montierchaume, is also looking to recruit. It currently employs 35 people, and on April 12 was looking for five clothing mechanics. “We are aware that we have competitors, also companies which are physically not very far from us. Not necessarily in the same sector of activity, but there you go, we are a bit on the same profiles” recognizes Jessica Michenet, human resources manager for Marck et Balsan.
