All of Quebec remembers Jean-Pierre Ferland, who died on Saturday at the age of 89. The singer-songwriter leaves behind a host of memories to the public of the Old Capital, whom he has on numerous occasions made vibrate to the sound of his music and his words.
His career spanned around sixty years. He was unable to remain retired. In 2011, the little king reappeared on stage to sing the entirety of his cult album “Jaune” on the Plains of Abraham, during the Quebec Summer Festival.

He was a regular at the FEQ, and in 2004, 300 singers joined him on stage to revisit some of his greatest songs.

He has also offered a show to the Quebec public on numerous occasions on the Plains of Abraham, notably with Céline Dion on the occasion of the 400th anniversary of the city of Quebec, in 2008. Céline is one of the multiple artists for who he wrote songs.
