Yes, 218 degrees is very precise: but that’s what it takes to achieve this signature dish which amazed us and our taste buds… Creation of the chef Charley Breuvart, he did his excellent French restaurant a must-have of the rue Richer. We take you to the 9th district from Paris to discover this address that we have tested for you, direction The Office !
The best beef Wellington in Paris
Originally designed for a lunch menu, this dish has had so many success that it never came off the map again, and we understand why. With his fillet cooked to perfection at 218 degrees precisely to ensure beautiful tenderness at the heart, its delicate mushroom stuffing neither too fine nor too present, and its impeccable lamination well buttered, it is simply to die for! Living up to our expectations and his reputation, he really cracked us up. We also liked his accompaniement which accords with the rhythm of the seasons, at the moment a mashed potatoes ratte and a creamy pepper sauce from Kampot. But L’Office has more than one trick up its sleeve and other dishes of the map also showed themselves excellentas the pea soup and its fresh goat’s cheese tortellini, or even the pork belly with its superbly made yoghurt lentil puree and Jamaica pepper jus!
An unmissable address
The Office is also known for its impressive wine list with more than 150 references ranging from the small nugget natural or biodynamicto grand crus or even to very rare vintages. We also appreciated its atmosphere, simple and good-natured, its slightly retro decorbetween the ceramic tableware of Judith Lasry, the bouquets of wild flowers, large wood mirrors and vintage wall lights. But above all, its lunch menu at 27€ (starter + main course or main course + dessert) or at €32 (starter + main course + dessert) which displays a Excellent value ! We are finally impatiently awaiting the return of sunny days to enjoy its wooded and flowered terrace which is very tempting…
