Ziguinchor, April 27 (APS) – The health mutual of state agents (MSEA) inaugurated on Saturday, in Néma, a district of the commune of Ziguinchor, its medico-social center in Casamance, noted the APS .
“This medical-social center is an open establishment intended to support our members and their families in medical care,” said Babacar Ngom, president of the mutual health insurance of state agents of Senegal, during the inauguration ceremony.
“The center is also a place open to help the populations of Casamance to access care more easily,” he added, in the presence of health actors from Ziguinchor and the populations.
This newly opened center includes a unit dedicated to dental surgery, a unit for consultations in general medicine, gynecology and ophthalmology.
Its construction is part of the efforts of public authorities to achieve the objectives of universal health coverage (UHC).
Babacar Ngom indicated that the MSEA will work towards the upcoming opening of a hospital center in Djibelor (Ziguinchor), ”to offer quality health care capable of attracting patients from natural Casamance and the entire sub-region. -region”.
“In addition to the care provided on site, the Casamance medico-social center will carry out social action programs,” underlined the head doctor of the medico-social center, Abdou Bomou.
