The history of children in Franche-Comté in the medieval and modern eras

At the initiative of Paul Delsalledoctor in historyacademic and emeritus lecturer at the University of Besançon, a regional history day will take place on Saturday April 27 in Salins-les-Bains, from 9 a.m. at the Notre-Dame room.

Once again, the city has been chosen by theFranche-Burgundy association to host this event.

There previous editionorganized in 2022 on the theme of salt and cheese, met with great success : more than 200 people had done the shift.

This year, the theme covered children’s story in the Middle Ages and the Renaissance in Franche-Comté.

Various conferences

Many speakers (historians, archivists and archaeologists) will hold conferences during the day on the topics of birth, baptism, choice of a first namelearning to readingTHE work in the salt pans of Salins, the games and teaching for little boys and girls.

A photographic interlude will complete the various interventions.

Make Salins known

“It’s a plus for our cityland of books and history heritage very rich and classified building Monumentstarting with the Great Saltworks classified Unescowhich attracts more than 80,000 visitors each year,” explains Claude Bouveretmunicipal councilor delegate in charge of heritage and radiation historical from the city.

” The city is grateful towards Paul Delsalle for his involvement to make our city known to French and foreign academics. It is a recognition of theimportance of Salins in the history of region from Franche-Comté. »

This demonstration historic will end in the afternoon with a guided tour of the Grande Saline with Frédéric Pétrequinon the theme of beliefs linked to salt.

Open to all, this event will take place at the Notre-Dame hall in Salins-les-Bains, on Saturday April 27 from 9 a.m. Free admission.
