New revelations in the affair of family hiring at SIG. his two sons-in-law of the general director Christian Brunier, as well as the wife of one of them, the SIG hired the nephew of the director. Information from RTS today.

The noose is tightening again on Christian Brunier. After the revelations from Léman Bleu and the Tribune de Genève at the start of the week, RTS revealed this Friday that a fourth member of the Director General’s family was hired at SIG. In addition to his two stepsons, and the wife of one of them, a nephew of Christian Brunier, his sister’s son, is an industrial services employee.

When contacted, the SIG press service does not comment on the information or the recruitment process. He refers to the press conference which is to be held on Tuesday. The Chairman of the Board of Directors Robert Cramer will take stock of his first 100 days in office, and will answer questions on current GIS news.

This again, following the revelations of Léman Bleu and the Tribune de Genève on the engagement of three members of the general director’s family, the Council of State saw no trace of nepotism.

Turmoil since February

As a reminder, the SIGs have been in turmoil since the beginning of February on another file. Industrial Services overestimated the electrical losses of the network, thus billing Genevans 22 million francs too much. On this issue, Léman Bleu revealed last week that Christian Brunier had been aware of it since 2018, contrary to what he claimed in February.

Answers on all these files are expected Tuesday, through the voice of Robert Cramer.
