The 9-year-old girl, victim of a road accident yesterday Thursday in , succumbed to her injuries this Friday, April 26. She had been hospitalized in the neurosurgery department of the -Brabois children’s hospital since the day before. Around midday, the child, riding his electric scooter, without a helmet, wanted to rush across the road on a zebra crossing at the Renault garage in the Europe zone in Forbach. Surprised, a motorist, a 74-year-old man from Morsbach, was unable to avoid the collision. He knocked the little girl over. She was seriously injured in the head. Quickly taken care of, in a condition considered serious, by the firefighters of Forbach and Behren, she was then airlifted to Nancy at the beginning of the afternoon.

End of police custody for motorist

The driver of the car, immediately taken into custody at the Forbach police station, was questioned by investigators for unintentional injuries. Police custody was lifted this Friday. The man was traveling at a normal speed and was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The police investigation continues.
