The Bolo program, which lists the country’s most wanted fugitives, has launched a major contest with $35,000 in prizes for those who visit its website.

The Bolo identification competition was announced Tuesday during a press briefing on an update of the top 25.

“The Bolo Program encourages the public to keep their eyes open not only today, but also in the days, weeks and months to come. How ? By allocating part of the budget usually devoted to our amplification campaigns to reward citizens not only for submitting reports, but also for remaining attentive to our campaign,” explained the director of the Bolo Program, Max Langlois.

This contest is open to all Canadians aged 18 and over who will have the chance to win numerous prizes, including a $10,000 travel gift certificate, computers, tablets and many other things.

One million dollars reward

Who says updates to the top 25, also says updates to the rewards. Thus, 15 rewards totaling $1 million will be given to people providing information leading to the arrest of fugitives.

For the first time, the money was shown to the public during a press briefing on Tuesday.

“One of the most common things I’ve heard about the Bolo program over the years is ‘Show me the money.’ Today we show you the money,” said Max Langlois.

At the top of the top 25 is now Michael Bebee, suspected of murdering 29-year-old Shamar Powell-Flowers in Toronto in 2023.
