Under the chairmanship of Mohamed Hassan Bensalah, the Supervisory Board of Crédit du Maroc approved a new organization to support the bank’s new strategic ambitions.

This development marks a major turning point for Crédit du Maroc, now under the umbrella of the Holmarcom Group, which intends to position itself as a benchmark player in the Moroccan banking landscape.

The Supervisory Board has appointed Ali Chorfi, subject to the approval of Bank Al-Maghrib, as a new member of the Management Board in charge of Corporate & Investment Banking. A graduate of the Solvay Business School in Brussels, Chorfi brings a rich and diversified expertise in the fields of banking and auditing, acquired both at the national and international levels.

Having joined Crédit du Maroc in 2012, he rose through the ranks to become Deputy Managing Director, in charge of Corporate & Investment Banking in 2020. This appointment reflects the bank’s desire to strengthen its skills in corporate financing and investments, essential strategic axes to support its development.

After completing its empowerment process, Crédit du Maroc has begun implementing its new strategic plan, aligned with the objectives of the Holmarcom Group. This plan aims to strengthen internal synergies, improve operational efficiency and offer a better customer experience. The new organization is structured around several poles, including two new ones designed to boost activities:

“Retail Banking & Marketing” department

Resulting from the merger of Marketing and Retail activities, this division aims to optimize the implementation of commercial strategies, in line with the needs of individual and professional customers.

“Specialized Business Lines” Pole

Designed to structure the commercial organization around the different market segments, this division focuses on individual, professional, VSE, SME and large company customers, with a dedicated and specialized approach.

The members of the Board of Directors, composed of Ali Benkirane (Chairman), Mr. Younes Lahlou (Operations), Saïd Jabrani (Commercial Banking) Ali Chorfi (Corporate & Investment Banking), will lead this new organization. Together, they intend to make Crédit du Maroc a modern, innovative and committed bank, ready to meet the challenges of sustainable and responsible development.

Towards a sustainable and responsible future

By restructuring its organization, Crédit du Maroc confirms its determination to become a leading financial operator, committed to serving Moroccan citizens and businesses. The Supervisory Board expressed its gratitude to the teams for their continued commitment and encourages them to continue this positive momentum. With this new governance, Crédit du Maroc is preparing to enter a new phase of growth, in line with its strategic aspirations and the expectations of its customers.
