As the government points out, splitting classes allows for a reduction in the number of students in each class and therefore improves the quality of education. This in particular allows for good learning of the fundamentals. According to the latest data, there were exactly 4,366 students enrolled in Seine-et- in split classes in the final year of primary school, CP and CE1. For the moment, 82.2% of classes have 24 students or less in the department, while the State is aiming for 100%.
