The A8 slows down in both directions after the hailstorm this Thursday, kilometers of traffic jams in the Alpes-Maritimes
“Remain vigilant on the A8 between the Cagnes-sur-mer (n°48) and Nice Ouest (n°50) interchanges, following an exceptional hailstorm.”
This is the alert message that A8Trafic just tweeted this Thursday, April 18 around 4:30 p.m. “Traffic is difficult in both directions. Adapt your driving.”
The services of the Alpes-Maritimes Department have in fact confirmed that, in the Italy/France direction, a 10 km traffic jam formed after the hail storm, “between the Nice St-Isidore toll gate and the exit ramp No. 44 (A8 – Antibes-Est).”
In the other direction (France/Italy), the cork, 12 km long, is located between exit ramp No. 44 (Antibes – west) and exit ramp No. 49 (A8 – Saint-Laurent-du-Var). Be careful.
