The Jacques Prévert room in Ault (Somme) is now an integral part of the landscape cultural in the region for a little over a year and a half. The offer of shows, concerts, but also exhibitions continues to improve. And it is to the delight of the public who come in large numbers to each performance.
For this first part of 2025, the program promises to be busy since in addition to the usual cultural season, the cinema program will be added from January 15. It will therefore be necessary to play on both counts by combining cinema and shows and concerts.
Within six months, fourteen dates are scheduled. “In 2024, we had 17 dates over the whole year,” indicates Marcel Le Moignethe mayor. This cultural season will be, like the previous ones, based on the same biases: “diversity and the desire to reach all audiences with a schedule of shows that covers widely the styles”, underlines Cécile Caëlsresponsible for cultural policies in Ault.
In 2025, there will be many styles with opera, humor, theater, classical or contemporary Music…
Saturday January 18 at 8 p.m.
This program will be officially launched on Saturday, January 18 at 8 p.m. with a show Sweden’s speech… in Aultin homage to Albert Camus. Nearly sixty years after his death, the town pays tribute to him with a show combining music, texts and songs. A unique event around the Swedish speech, delivered in Stockholm during the presentation of the Nobel Prize for Literature to Albert Camus in 1957.
Saturday February 8 at 8:30 p.m.
Change of scenery for this second meeting, the first of February. The quartet Come together… Tribute to The Beatles will pay tribute to the famous British group by performing some of their most famous hits, from Get Back has Let It Be passing through Help or Come Together.
Saturday February 22 at 8:30 p.m.
To close the month of February, the auditorium will resonate with the sounds of French song standards on the theme of work, with the group Ces Messieurs Williams and David Catel as a guest star. Together, they will cover titles by Gainsbourg, Brassens, Reggiani, Bobby Lapointe, Jean Ferrat, Boris Vian and many others… Each song will be introduced by a short humorous text.
Saturday March 15 at 8 p.m.
There was a time when he made a brief visit to Ault. Yes, we are talking about Victor Hugo. On March 15, poetry will be in the spotlight with Tomorrow from dawn. A show which traces the writer’s correspondence with his numerous mistresses, but especially with his daughter Léopoldine, who accidentally drowned. The show attempts to affirm Hugo’s famous thought: “Music expresses what cannot be said and about which it is impossible to remain silent.”
Sunday March 30 at 4 p.m.
Guitar, drums and tuba, these are the instruments that the members of d’Az Trio play. Sunday March 30, jazz will take over Ault with music described as popular, but also incredible tinkering.
The week of April 14
From April 14 to 18, it’s the puppet festival in Ault. As part of the artistic residency of the Legged Car CompanyAult will host four shows for all audiences of 45 minutes each. On the program:
Monday April 14 at 7 p.m.: Baounane is a small theatrical form where an actor presents a succession of African tales, punctuated by musical moments and presentation of percussion. This is the work of a storyteller where interactivity with the public plays an important role.
Tuesday April 15 at 7 p.m.: Journey through Alice’s eyes, because we cannot continue to exhaust our planet indefinitely, it is a question here of initiating a reflection on natural resources and of encouraging everyone to adopt environmentally friendly behavior.
Thursday April 17 at 7 p.m.: P’tit homme is the history of the world, from creation to the present day. Initially, the earth was round and smooth like a balloon. Water arrived on earth and with it, life which at the beginning was only a very small form, smaller than a grain of salt. It developed, transforming itself into a tree, an insect and little by little man arrived.
Friday April 18 at 7 p.m.: Soundiata, a story faithful to oral tradition, with colorful characters, invites us to discover the genesis of the Mandingo empire and the legend of Sundiata.
Saturday April 26 at 8:30 p.m.
Humor makes a comeback, this time around the world of Raymond Devos. The Solilès Troupe will present the comedian’s standards, but also lesser-known texts in this show: Devos, prince of words…
Friday May 9 at 8:30 p.m.
After poetry, fables. The Homnimaux tribe from the Compagnie Car à Pattes will present its updated fables adapted to our times.
Saturday May 17 at 8:30 p.m.
Return to song for a new tribute, this time to a female figure of French song. Mélanie Allart and Tibaut Accart will pay tribute to this great lady of French song in this show Piaf and his men.
Saturday May 31 at 8:30 p.m.
Theater again with the troupe Théâcanto and a performance of the play Le Gang des mamies Flingeuses. The four actresses will play, with humor, current events and especially the difficulty of living with a poverty-stricken pension.
Saturday June 14 at 8:30 p.m.
The last program of this first half promises to be electric with Telegraph road, a tribute to Dire Straits. A great way to end this first part of the cultural season before summer and its activities which will arrive very quickly.
