On Wednesday December 18, ADPMHAV, the association for the development and promotion of music in the Haute-Vallée de l'Aude offered the public its traditional Christmas concert at the Espace Cathare. Firstly, President Dominique Duchâteau thanked the director Jules Bouchou, and, for the allocation of subsidies, the municipality, the department, the Community of Communes and the participating municipalities. He highlighted the tremendous work of teachers who work with students whose number continues to increase.
Jules Bouchou, master of ceremonies, presented the teaching team who work with the students throughout the year with kindness and great involvement. Before giving the show, he announced the concert which will take place over several days during the Ascension weekend to celebrate 30 years of his direction at the music school.
Then it's time for music with the students, accompanied by their teachers who made the heart of the Cathar space beat to the sound of trumpets, saxos, pianos, percussion, violins and guitars, punctuated by the performances of young singers.
For 2 hours, the musicians offered parents, grandparents and other music lovers the full range of their talent in a joyful festive atmosphere, where interpretations of numerous Christmas tunes won over the audience. Once again, ears were capsized and hearts were racing thanks to these virtuosos for whom music is a passion that they share without restraint.
