AEW Dynamite Results for December 18, 2024

The commentators are Tony Schiavone, Matt Menard and Excalibur.

– Tonight is AEW Dynamite Holiday Bash special, the show starts with the commentators welcoming us. We see the wrestlers arriving in the arena.

– Backstage, Renee Paquette is with Cassidy and Jay White to find out if they are more concerned about the Death Riders or themselves for tonight. White says he’s going to speak up since Cassidy doesn’t talk much. His focus is on the AEW World Title, but to reach Worlds End he knows he has to ally himself with people. He has to rely on guys like Cassidy and Adam Page to reach World Ends. Adam Page comes out and says Moxley is not coming back to White or Cassidy tonight. He’s the one who can lay his hands on Moxley tonight!

– Behind the scenes, we find Darby Allin. Allin says it’s show time tonight against Will Ospreay.

– Backstage, Will Ospreay says that tonight we will have an elite match with him against Darby Allin. It’s war and he’s going to show why he’s at another level.

TBS Championship – Singles Match

Mercedes Moné (c) vs Anna Jay

At the end of the fight, Jay applies his Queen Slayer on Moné. Moné resists and decides to bite her to stop the submission. Jay approaches Moné on the ground, but Moné surprises her with her Cross Face. Jay resists and puts his foot on a rope to stop the submission. Jay pushes Moné against the corner and rolls her up, but she resists. Moné gives him a Sunset Bomb against the corner and a Running Double Knee. Moné continues with his Money Maker for the three count on Jay.

Winner: Mercedes Moné

– In video of their house, we find FTR. Cash Wheeler says there are a few things that just happened. They don’t agree with the Death Riders’ methods, but they agree that AEW needs a change. They simply stopped a man from being poisoned and found themselves the victim of an attack. Harwood says they learned they don’t have the green light from the doctor until the end of the year. But on January 1st they will be there. They will do everything to get the green light from the doctor and confront the Death Riders, and they will not be alone!

mjf arrives in the ring and he gets booed. MJF says he doesn’t care about the opinions of the disgusting people in DC. If their opinion mattered he wouldn’t have continued in AEW, he would have signed with their horrible football team. MJF says it’s the most beautiful time of the year. He speaks well of the most beautiful holiday: Hanukkah. Santa Claus doesn’t exist if you believe in Hanukkah. MJF says that in the name of Hanukkah he would like to start a fundraiser. MJF plays sad music. MJF says there’s a little kid dying of starvation, that little kid is this Baybay… We see a picture of Adam Cole on the TitanTron. MJF says if we want to help this little Baybay child, just scan the QR code on the screen and order Worlds End. Part of the money will go to the foundation to help this child out of poverty. Adam Cole arrives on the TitanTron.

Cole says he’s the one on the TitanTron and MJF is the idiot in the ring. We know that they will face each other at Worlds End. He must notify MJF that he has just spoken to Tony Khan. He knows that MJF will do everything not to lose this ring. He will make sure that MJF cannot escape because Mike Bennett and Matt Taven will be ringside to settle this matter. Adam Cole comes into the ring behind MJF’s back during his TitanTron message and attacks him! Cole starts beating him but MJF manages to escape.

– Behind the scenes, we find Jamie Hayter. Hayter says you can’t beat what you can’t see. Julia Hart is a coward. Julia Hart finally decided to show up at AEW Collision to attack her behind the back after a match when she was exhausted. The message is well received and she has a message for Julia Hart. At AEW Fight For The Fallen, she’s going to serve him a big dose of Hayterade

– Back after the break, the wrestlers arrive.

Tag Team Match

Christian Cage et Nick Wayne vs Hook et Katsuyori Shibata

At the end of the fight, Wayne goes for his finisher, but Shibata applies a Sleeper. Kip Sabian gets on the apron to distract. HOOK intervenes and applies his Red Rum on Sabian ringside. Wayne’s mother gets on the apron to distract the referee. Cage kills Shibata and places Wayne on Shibata for the three count.

Winners: Christian Cage and Nick Wayne

– We present a teaser video on Chris Jericho against Matt Cardona at Final Battle.

– We present a video on the return of Bandido which will soon take place at AEW.

– Back, backstage, Mariah May asks why Thunder Rosa became a wrestler. To make his family proud? It’s a dream to be a hero. Mariah May says everyone dreams of being like her. If she was here 4 years ago, Thunder Rosa wouldn’t even have been hired. She asks Rosa to bring her father with her to Worlds End so she can end two generations at once.

– Tony Schiavone introduces Ricochet who enters the ring. Schiavone says everything is going well for Ricochet in the Continental Classic tournament, but it looks like there’s a change in his attitude. Ricochet says he looks good in his suit… the Hurt Syndicate music starts and the clan enters the ring. They surround Ricochet. Ricochet says he’s happy to see them. They all look good in their suits. Did they see how he beat Brody King and got six points in the tournament? MVP approves. Ricochet says maybe Benjamin could make it to 6 points for them to face off. Ricochet says that on Saturday he will face Will Ospreay and we will see a different side of him. MVP asks if he still has his business card with him. Ricochet approves and takes out the card. Bobby Lashley grabs Ricochet by the neck. MVP tears up Ricochet’s card and says no one likes ass lickers. Ricochet leaves the ring.

Tournoi Continental Classic – Singles Match

Shelton Benjamin vs Beast Mortos

At the end of the fight, Benjamin manages to do three German Suplexes to Mortos. Benjamin continues with a Running Knee and a second! Benjamin finishes with the Hurt Fall for the count of three.

Winner: Shelton Benjamin

– After the fight, Bobby Lashley returns to the ring to beat Mortos. MVP invites Benjamin to show what he can do too. Benjamin does a German Suplex on Mortos. MVP says that’s what awaits Daniel Garcia at Collision on Saturday. Daniel Garcia arrives on stage. Garcia says he’s not stupid, he knows what will happen if he comes into the ring like they’re three against one. But he doesn’t care, because he knows DC wants to see a fight. Mark Briscoe comes out and the two go to fight in the ring. MVP uses his cane to hit both. The Hurt Syndicate crushes Briscoe and Garcia.

– We present a video on the Continental Classic tournament.

– Back, backstage, Renee Paquette asks Ricochet more details on this story with the Hurt Syndicate. Ricochet says he doesn’t know. He received the card and he believed he was doing the right thing. But he’s not going to worry about that, it’s the tournament that’s important. He already has six points and on Saturday he will face Will Ospreay. He came to AEW to face Will Ospreay and also beat Ospreay to silence the world and show that he is the best. Swerve Strickland and Prince Nana arrive. Strickland said it was a matter of time before the real Trevor came out. After 14 years of relationship, he thought Ricochet would have changed, but he’s still good old Trevor who follows the others. This won’t work at AEW, the Swerve House. Ricochet says he also knows the real Swerve and the real Swerve didn’t win the Continental Classic. He knows it will hurt Strickland when he wins the tournament.

– We find RJ City and Toni Storm for an interview. RJ City asks if it’s possible to know where she had gone. Toni Storm says she’s from New Zealand. She worked hard in indy to come to AEW and here she is today. She’s seen all the shows and she can’t believe she’s here. City asks what it was like to be a former champion. Storm says it’s seeing the future. Toni Storm gives compliments for Mariah May, Saraya and others. City asks what The Eternal Toni Storm stood for. Storm says she doesn’t know her, what she does know is that it’s Toni’s moment.

Tournoi Continental Classic – Singles Match

Will Ospreay vs Darby Allin

At the end of the fight, Ospreay goes for a Cutter, but Allin avoids it and gives him a Coffin Drop from the second rope to cover him, but Ospreay resists at two. Allin mounts Ospreay on the corner and goes for a Superplex outside the ring, but Ospreay blocks it. Ospreay hits him with a Styles Clash from the apron outside the ring! Ospreay gets back in the ring and waits for the count while the crowd chants “you killed Darby.” Allin gets back in the ring at nine! Ospreay gives him his Cutter and covers him, but Allin resists two. Ospreay takes it for his Storm Breaker, but Allin reverses it into a Scorpion Death Drop! Allin continues with a Coffin Drop and a second Coffin Drop for the count of three!

Winner: Darby Allin

Trios Match

Jon Moxley, Pac & Wheeler Utah accompanied by Cladio Castagnoli and Marina Shafir vs Adam Hangman Page, Jay White et Orange Cassidy

During the fight, Jay White took the tag on Page’s back. Page is not happy and decides to leave.

At the end of the fight, Adam Page decides to come back to help his team. He wants to do his finisher on Moxley, but Cassiy does his Orange Punch on Moxley first! Yuta takes the opportunity to punch Cassidy in the back. Page goes for his Buckshot, Cassidy avoids it and Page hits Yuta. Pac wants to intervene, White stops him with a Blade Runner. White and Page begin to argue, meanwhile Moxley rolls Cassidy up for the win.

Winners: Jon Moxley, Pac and Wheeler Yuta

– After the fight, Page, White and Cassidy argue again, but they find themselves surrounded by the Death Riders. A fight breaks out between the two clans. Jon Moxley decides to escape with Marina Shafir when he realizes that Page, White and Cassidy are gaining the advantage. The show ends like this.
