(Keystone-ATS) In “Reinas” by Klaudia Reynicke, a mother wants to leave Lima for the United States with her two daughters, leaving behind their father, who has little to offer them. This decision was motivated by the economic crisis, political unrest and lack of prospects in Peru in the 1990s.
