The heroes of “Sonic 3” were out in London. As the release of the American-Japanese film approaches on December 22, the actors played models for a few photos. Invited to promote the third opus of the saga, adapted from the famous video game, it was in the English capital that the cast was first assembled. Installed at Cineworld Leicester Square, the carpet was not red, but blue, in reference to the flagship character and embellished for the occasion with numerous visuals from the feature film and the XXL mascots of the blue and red hedgehogs.
Stars Keanu Reeves and Jim Carrey did not fail to put on a show. Back in the role of Doctor Ivo Robotnik, nicknamed “Eggman”, Jim Carrey played the game of the big bad in front of the lens. The 62-year-old actor had fun showing off his humorous t-shirt while his co-star, Keanu Reeves, who lends his voice to Shadow, entertained the photographers with funny poses. He then shared a friendly moment with Idris Elba. The “Luther” star lends his voice to the iconic Knuckles, with whom he posed.

Jim Carrey comes out of retirement for “Sonic 3”
During an interview with the “Associated Press” agency this Tuesday, Jim Carrey revealed the reasons for his return to the saga. “I came back to this universe because, first of all, I get to play a genie,” he began. The actor had already been a hit in the first opus before returning to his role in “Sonic 2”, two years later. “You know, it’s just… I bought a lot of stuff and frankly I need the money,” he later confessed.
In 2022, however, he declared that he was considering retirement, and was therefore not sure whether he would return for “Sonic 3”. “If the angels bring me some sort of script written in gold ink and tell me that this will be really important for people to see, I might continue down that path. But I’m taking a break,” he confided. On the occasion of this return, however, he assured that his comments were “exaggerated”.
