Last May, the City launched the photo competition “The treasures of Lucée nature” in order to promote the biodiversity of Sainte-Luce. The Lucéens had until July 15 to submit their photo representing the richness of the local fauna and flora.
In order to highlight the talent of these amateur photographers and present the Atlas of Biodiversity in Sainte-Luce, the most beautiful images from the “Treasures of Lucean Nature” are displayed in the hall of the town hall , from Saturday December 7.
Photos of the nine winners of the competition
The winners will receive their prize on Saturday December 7 at 11 a.m. at the town hall, during the inauguration of the “Treasures of Lucean Nature” exhibition.
The exhibition will be on view until Monday January 2 during the opening hours of the town hall and brings together photos of the nine winners of the competitionas well as around sixty photos from professional photographers and associations active in preserving the environment.
What is the Biodiversity Atlas?
Launched in 2022 by Nantes Métropole, the Biodiversity Atlas lists the fauna and flora of the cities of the conurbation. This work, fueled by associations, residents and scientists, takes the form of a municipal notebook, which can be consulted at the town hall during the exhibition. This large inventory of biodiversity is also available online at nature.metropole.nantes.fr.
Swane, 9 years old, the youngest winner
At 9 years old, Swane is the youngest winner of the photo competition “The treasures of Lucée nature”, organized by the town hall from May to July 2024. She will receive her prize on Saturday December 7 during the opening of the exhibition presenting the fauna and the Lucean flora.
