Renaud’s performance, Saturday evening at the Colisée de Chartres, aroused keen interest. There were some disappointed people, of course, but also many fans who came to the defense of their favorite singer.
Two months after Michel Polnareff, Renaud came to sing at the Colisée de Chartres on Saturday evening, and the reactions of the spectators were similar.
According to what we can read on our Facebook page, Internet users are divided into two camps. On the one hand, there are the absolute fans who support him through thick and thin. And there are those who clearly show their disappointment.
“It was really painful to see”
This is the case of Carole, who laments: “Inaudible concert… If we didn’t know her repertoire, we didn’t understand anything, apart from a few words and syllables… It was really painful to see…”.

Vince doesn’t say anything else: “Even in the karaoke version, it didn’t do it… Disappointed.” Corinne is just as severe: “Really painful to hear. Fortunately, there was his orchestra which was great”. Kris Tofer (probably a nickname!) is satisfied with a very dry: “Not phew”.
But to counterbalance these negative impressions, we can count on the admirers of the composer of Mistral winner.
What should we expect from Renaud’s concert on Saturday at the Colisée de Chartres?
Karen, for example, wants to remain positive: “Concert rich in emotions. Renaud on his ropes, as the name of his tour says!”, before tinging her reaction with a touch of melancholy.
“Glad to have been able to see him for probably the last time…”. This is perhaps going a little hastily since, to date, the creator of Morgana from you has not yet announced his retirement.

Sabrina, for her part, expresses her respect to the artist by quoting one of his songs. “Thank you. His work, his path, and his loyal audience. Still standing, and us, still here! Bravo.”
Very active on the networks, fans provide their support to their idol, often with a simple “Thank you”, accompanied by emojis expressing tenderness or downright love. We leave the last word to Marie-France who hits out at the detractors: “When we go to see Renaud, it’s for his lyrics, the real fans know it, he needs his audience… The others, stay at home” . You have been warned!
Full house or not?
In their reactions on our Facebook page, many Internet users expressed their incomprehension when we wrote that Renaud had sung in front of “a packed house”. Charlie, for example, writes: “A full house with a good third of empty seats.” The reality is more complex. The capacity of the Colosseum is 4,200 seats for sporting events, but for culture, the configuration is smaller. In the case of Renaud, like others – Pascal Obispo, Paul Mirabel – the gauge is around 2,300 spectators, which explains why seats were empty.
