A multidisciplinary artistic show this Friday in Toulouges

Ce Friday November 15 at 8:30 p.m. at the El Mil theater. Lenari, a duo of artists, offers a multidisciplinary artistic show, mixing pole dance, music, and much more, with the presence of other guest artists.

The concept is quite unique and was born from the idea of Laurie Buscail, pole dancer, and Alexandre Augé, musician: the desire to decompartmentalize pole dance from its associated registers (cabaret, rock music), to marry it with others musical genres, even artistic disciplines, simultaneously, as part of a show. This brand new creation alternates between the performances of the tandem and various interactions with the guests, and resides in a series of paintings which questions our relationship to the world, its worrying evolution, its excesses… This panorama highlights the disproportion between daily tragedies that we all go through and which temporarily devastate us, and the global dangers which permanently threaten us: a putting into perspective of the paradox of the human condition and the questions. This desired plurality, even dichotomy, takes birth in the encounter of the arts. Indeed, around this performance mixing pole dance with saxophone music, joined by compositions by Simon Malart, and the accordion of Jean-Pierre Sire, other artistic expressions will gravitate into a symphony, such as comedy and singing. with Manon Zouiche, the still and moving image with Jean-Noël, poetry put into sound…

A big difference in sensations, that’s what we wanted to show ” explains the duo. Laurie Buscail discovered pole dancing 10 years ago and it changed her life: “For me pole dancing is much more than a means of expression, it is an integral part of my deep identity“Self-taught, Laurie has since held a professional teaching training diploma. In her classes, she strives to break away from traditional pole dancing. The dancer cultivates the art of openness at all levels. “ Initially, I am a teacher-researcher in Language Sciences. Yes, it’s not common, but we can teach at university and the art of barre at the same time! “, she laughs. The music of Alex Augé, also a teacher at the conservatory, is a continuation of the project Solipses existing since 2017 (first performance at the Théâtre de l’Archipel as part of the Today Musics festival). The music proposed is outside of genres to define itself only by itself, standing out from codes without rejecting them. She rejects ego and anecdote by relying on the commitment and convictions that make each artist a singular being.

At 8:30 p.m. at the El Mil Theater. Lenari. Duration 1 hour 10. All audiences from 10 years old.
