Around forty musicians from Cotentin come together for a concert to benefit the Telethon

In the evening of Thursday November 7, 2024sounds could be heard escaping from girls’ schoolbecause once again, the musicians of the Awakening of Portbail and Périers (Manche) were in rehearsals.

They want to offer the best for the Saturday November 16at 8:30 p.m., at the Émile-Jeanne roomin Saint-Lô-d’Ourville. The harmonies of the Réveil de Portbail and Périers will offer a concert for the benefit of the AFM-Téléthon.

Crepes, cakes and mulled wine

There will be around 40 musicians, aged between approximately 10 and 80 years old. They decided to offer a magnificent concert free during which a quest will be made for the benefit of the Telethon. Élise Lelyon will be there conductor. Musicians have been mobilizing every year for more than 10 years.

They work hard rehearsing together late in the evening despite the fatigue of the day. We can hear several varied piecesbut all lively, including among many others: ABBA, The Blues Brothers revue or Queen.

During this concert, it will be possible to enjoy delicious pancakes and homemade cakes. The traditional mulled wine will also be offered. All benefits will also be donated to the Telethon.
