“He transformed our lives into hell”: a few days before the trial of Pierre Palmade, one of the victims looks back on the consequences of the serious accident

The affair Pierre Palmadeparticularly publicized, arrives in court. The comedian will be judged on November 20 for the serious road accident he caused last year, in Seine-et-, under the influence of drugs.

On February 10, 2023, on a road in the south of the department, Pierre Palmade was driving a car which hit a vehicle coming in front.

Besides the actor, the collision caused three seriously injured from the same family: a 38-year-old man, his six-year-old son and his 27-year-old sister-in-law, who lost the baby she was expecting after the collision.

“I want him to pay.”

“I have such intense pain that I am exhausted and feel like my brain is going to explode,” confides Yuksel Yakut, the driver of the hit Renault Mégane, in front of the cameras of the show Sept à Huit broadcast on TF1 this Sunday, November 10.

“I have been operated on the stomach, shoulders, legs, feetlists the 38-year-old man, who assures that he has not “more sensations on three fingers”.

“When I walk, the patches in my legs cause me a lot of pain. Even to wash and walk, I have to ask my loved ones for help.”

His son Devrim, 6 years old, “not doing well at all.” “He doesn’t want to go outside anymore because of the scars on his head, he is in constant pain. (…) He can no longer tolerate the sun or the cold [et] has plaques in his mouth.” The schoolboy, who had to repeat his CE1 class, would suffer from “panic attacks”.

“He turned our lives into hell”reprimanded Yuksel Yakut. “I only want one thing: for him to pay for what he did.”

Up to 14 years in prison and a fine of 200,000 euros

The investigating judge in charge of the investigation referred the 56-year-old artist to the criminal court at the end of May for involuntary injuries, aggravated by taking drugs.

Pierre Palmade had a large quantity of cocaine and 3M™ (a synthetic drug) in his blood when he drove with two passengers to go shopping.

The investigating judge, however, did not not retained the qualification of manslaughter requested the prosecution for the loss of the fetus carried by Mila, 27 years old.

According to consistent case law from the Court of Cassation, which has ruled on similar cases of road accidents, a child who has not been born does not exist as a person.

Pierre Palmade is in a state of recidivism legal due to a conviction in 2019 for drug use. He thus faces a sentence of fourteen years’ imprisonment and a fine of 200,000 euros.
