The singer leads the 2025 Grammy Awards nominations thanks to her latest album Cowboy Carter. She will be competing with Taylor Swift.
Singer Beyoncé will be the big favorite at the next Grammy Awards ceremony, on February 2, 2025 in Los Angeles, with nominations in eleven categories for her album Cowboy Cartera tribute to the African-American roots of country Music, the Recording Academy announced Friday.
Beyoncé will compete with fellow American music megastar Taylor Swift, notably in the best album category, as well as new pop stars Charli XCX, Chappell Roan and Sabrina Carpenter.
She received nominations in the category of best album of the year, and notably, in that of best country album, while her album, which draws heavily on this genre, was recently shunned from nominations at the Country Music Awards.

With the single Texas Hold ‘Empunctuated by the sound of the banjo, and Cowboy Carter“Queen B” had nevertheless become the first black artist to rise to the top of the Billboard reference rankings for country.
In addition to experiencing phenomenal success, Cowboy Carterwhich also includes the classic Jolene by absolute country star Dolly Parton, has reignited debates on the place of African-Americans in the history of country music, from which they have been largely ousted, the genre being rather associated with white and conservative musicians.
With eleven nominations, she is ahead of Charli XCX, Billie Eilish, Kendrick Lamar and Post Malone – seven nominations each -, then Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan and Taylor Swift, who receive 6 nominations each.
The 67th Grammy Awards ceremony will take place on Sunday February 2, 2025 in Los Angeles, two weeks after Donald Trump’s inauguration at the White House.
