Iris Mittenaere’s ex in court this Wednesday: what we know

The alleged facts

Iris Mittenaere’s complaint concerns events which took place at Bruno Pelat’s home on the night of Monday September 23 to Tuesday September 24. She accuses him of having hit her, of having hit her head against a wall and of having threatened to “ blow up » his contracts. The influencer appeared at a fashion show wearing a brace.

Bruno Pelat, 22, has already been tried in the past and convicted in June 2022 for violence and death threats against his father, then in April 2023 for violence against another partner. According to the prosecutor, violence is a “usual resort” in his relationships, emphasizing the extreme lenience of the sentences which had been imposed on him.

The accused appears free under judicial supervision. He was prohibited from contacting Iris Mittenaere, even on social networks and an obligation of care, according to Le Parisien. The young woman had not asked for him to be placed in pre-trial detention. “She told me: ‘I don’t want pre-trial detention. What matters is that he is forbidden to come near me.’”reported Me Emilie Bruézière to AFP.

Iris Mittenaere “believes he was not able to tell everything at the police station” his lawyer also explained at the end of September. Wishing to complete her testimony, she asked Bruno Pelat not to appear immediately even though she was not in a psychological state compatible with being present in court.
