Almost a month ago, Childish Gambino was forced to postpone several concert dates in order to resolve a medical problem that arose suddenly. “Unfortunately I have to postpone the rest of the North American tour to focus on my physical health for a few weeks. » he announced. The rapper still asked his fans to keep their tickets, assuring them that everything would be done to reschedule the concerts which had to be canceled.

This October 4, the artist gave news to his audience, returning to his hospitalization at the time. “After being evaluated, it became clear that I would not be able to perform that evening, and after further testing, I would not be able to play the remainder of the American tour in the requested time. Right now I have surgery planned and need time to heal. » he explained. “My path to recovery is something I must face seriously. That said, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the remainder of the North American tour and the UK and European dates. » he finally announced, ensuring that all tickets would be refunded. On the ING Arena website, where he was to perform his only Belgian date, on November 23, it is specified that all ticket buyers will receive an email this Monday, October 7, with instructions for reimbursement.

Donald Glover, his real name, did not provide additional information on what he is suffering from, nor on the impact that his state of health will have on his other professional projects. Very active in Hollywood, he is also an actor, director, screenwriter, producer and creator of several series such as “Atlanta”, “Swarm” and “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” (the latter two are available on Prime Video). Currently, he is working in particular on the “Lion King” spin-off, “Mufasa”, which is in post-production and scheduled for release on December 18.
