Radio France announces the fourth edition of the Hyper Weekend Festival, its event dedicated to current music. From Friday January 24 to Sunday January 26, 2025, find numerous concerts and artists in the most emblematic places of the round house. On the program this year? The British artist Jorja Smith for the first time in a symphony concert, the pianist and singer Chilly Gonzales around his concept of “chamber rap” or even a tribute to Renaud by Noé Preszow. It’s coming back and it’s likely to bring together some great people! After the success of the first three editions of theHyper Weekend Festivalthe House of radio and music announces the new and fourth edition of its current music festivaldriven by Didier VarrodMusical Director of the Radio France branches. Mark your calendars! L’Hyper Weekend Festival returns to the premises of Radio France these Friday 24, Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 January 2025.
Remember, in January 2024, this musical event took over several emblematic places of the House of Radiosuch as Studio 104, the Auditorium, the Nave, the 22nd floor of the Tower… For 3 days and 3 nights, more than 60 artists played and sang, offering more than thirty concerts highlighting the honor French scene and creation. During this third edition, the public was able to come and applaud Jeanne Added, Barbara Pravi, L’Impératrice, Kids Return, Marguerite Thiam and even Frànçois Atlas & Aja.
So, what should we expect this year and who has the honor of participating in the fourth edition of theHyper Weekend Festival ? Well, the British artist Jorja Smith is there with an exclusive concert announced at the Auditorium. For the occasion, the soul singer will be accompanied byRadio France Philharmonic Orchestra.
For his part, the offbeat Chilly Gonzaleswho caused a sensation during the opening ceremony of the Paralympic Games in Paris, will offer “ bedroom rap », surrounded by several young talents of the genre and an instrumental chamber orchestra.
-We don’t forget thetribute to Renaud for his 50-year career. To be discovered in Studio 104, this creation was imagined by the Belgian singer and musician Noé Preszow. The musical career of Henri Salvador will also be highlighted during this new edition of theHyper Weekend festivalthanks to the artist Thug.
For his part, the Quebec singer Pierre Lapointe will come to present his new opus in preview. Let us also mention young shoots, such as Franco-Switzerland Yoathe rapper Zinée or the Parisian electronic music composer I am Ssanreal name Niamké Désiré.
In short, in 2025, prepare yourself to discover three days and three evenings of concerts and musical creations in several key spaces of the Maison de la Radio.
