“Sensory Odyssey”, by the company Hecho en casa, is a show like no other. The spectator is called upon to play an active role. On stage, plunged into darkness, his imagination fueled by the other senses, sight, hearing, smell and touch, he will be led to experience new sensations.
“We designed ”Sensory Odyssey” as part of the Théâtre en chemin system, which we are running in partnership with the City of Anglet, for the benefit of young audiences and seniors. This time, we decided to open it to the entire public, particularly families,” explains Hervé Estebeteguy, director and director of Hecho en casa.
An immersion
“Participants will be in total immersion. We can’t say too much about it, except that it’s a journey, with eyes closed, for an hour, during a sort of wandering. To create it, we used the experience of the workshops that we run for young people and seniors. »
In this “Odyssey”, the spectator is fully involved in the adventure he is going to experience. He makes a crossing in the dark, following a sort of Ariadne’s thread.
Participants will not be alone on stage. Camille Duchesne, Diane Lefébure, Mélanie Viñolo, Paula Cossin and Hervé Estebeteguy will be there to accompany them with their voices and songs. The theater technicians are also there and will have an active role throughout this stroll.
“It’s about moving from imagination to a physical adventure. Without the gaze of others and by becoming an actor in this adventure,” adds Hervé Estebeteguy.
-Resistance too
We will find Hecho in case at the Quintaou theater, Thursday February 13, at 10 a.m., and Friday February 14, at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. (as well as on February 26, at the Colisée de Biarritz) for “Lexique of our small and large resistances” . A one-hour show, for all audiences, from 9 years old, which takes the hybrid form of a talk in music, dramatized and danced around the theme of resistance.
This is a preamble to the new creation that the Angloye company is preparing, entitled “Code name: Maricheweu”, a word from the language of the Mapuche Indians in Chile, which means resistance. A show presented in preview, at the end of the residency, a few days ago in Hendaye. This creation, in the form of a diptych, addresses the questions of resistance and exile, with the Chilean dictatorship of the 1970s as a backdrop.
At the same time, another part of the Hecho en casa troupe continues to tour. Notably the stainless steel “Hidden in his lavender bush, Cyrano smelled like laundry”, which will be performed in Fleurance, in Gers, on February 7, and in Marmande, in Lot-et-Garonne, on February 13 and 14 and on the island of Yeu, in Vendée, on March 4, before moving to Switzerland, in Bulle, in the canton of Fribourg, from March 20 to 23 March.
