An American reality participant, Lynn Ban, died a few weeks after suffering a skiing accident, her family announced Wednesday.

Jewelry designer Lynn Ban, 51, was a cast member on the Netflix reality series “Bling Empire: New York.”

“My mother passed away on Monday,” Lynn Ban’s son, Sebastian, wrote in a touching post on his Instagram alongside a series of family photos.

“I know she wanted to share her journey after her accident and brain surgery, so I thought she would appreciate one last message to share the news with the people who supported her,” he said. added.

Last December, Mme Ban shared on her social media the accident she suffered during a family trip to Aspen, Colorado.

“On Christmas Eve, on a beautiful sunny day in Aspen, on vacation with my family, I had a skiing accident that would change my life,” she wrote in her post.

“Luckily I still wear a helmet, it didn’t seem so bad at the time and I was able to ski all the way down.”

After falling face-on while skiing, she was examined by a patrol officer and she had “a bit of a headache.”

A paramedic advised her to go to hospital to have an X-ray and examination of her injury, which she said “saved my life”.

“I got in a taxi with Jett [son mari] and 30 minutes later they told us I had a brain hemorrhage and needed to be flown to the trauma hospital,” she wrote in the post.

She had to undergo an emergency craniotomy at a health facility. Details of the aftermath of his operation are not known.
