WhatsApp, the messaging application of the Meta group, continues to tie itself more closely to its ecosystem by offering new connection options.
WhatsApp continues to rethink how it works. After introducing login without a phone number, the messaging app integrates more deeply with other Meta Group platforms, namely Instagram et Facebook.
A shared Hub
In an announcement posted on its blog, WhatsApp revealed that it would join theMeta Account Area. Created in 2020, this hub centralizes the management of Meta accounts to simplify the experience for users with multiple accounts on the group’s different platforms.
The new Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 Pro+ is here
Xiaomi’s future bestseller has just arrived. This new reference combining impressive features and attractive prices is already on sale at Boulanger.
With this new integration, users will be able to:
-- Automatically publish their stories on Instagram and Facebook,
- Use the function « Single Sign On »an authentication option that allows, for example, you to use your Instagram account information to connect to Instagram.
Meta specifies, however, that adding a WhatsApp account to the Account Space is optional and is disabled by default.
Confidentiality preserved
This interconnection between platforms raises questions about data privacy. A point on which Meta wants to be reassuring: personal WhatsApp messages and calls will remain protected by a end-to-end encryption. This means that no one, not even Meta or WhatsApp, can read or listen to these communications.
WhatsApp specifies that this update will be deployed gradually on a global scale, without providing a more precise timetable.
