The Supermab collective, a network dedicated to current Music in Brittany, is organizing this Wednesday January 22 and Thursday January 23, 2025, at Sew, in Morlaix, in partnership with Wart, an event called Spidermab. On the program for this free event, upon registration, of which this will be the first edition: conferences, workshops, forums and other round tables in which different stakeholders from the region will participate. In particular, La Grenade, Les Catherinettes, Culture Lab 29 – the cultural agency of Finistère, Bretagne(s) World Sounds, the Collective of festivals, the Maison des Producteurs et Productrices, GIP Cafés Cultures but also the Drac Bretagne, the Région will be present. Brittany, the national music center (CNM), the Sew and Morlaix community.
This event aims to “create a friendly space for meeting, reflection and cooperation to better face the challenges of the moment (…), in a worrying political, economic, social and ecological context”, explains the collective.
Mirroring Supermab (Mab for current music in Brittany), Spidermab evokes different notions. “The super power one, certainly. But also the weaving of links and the web of our future networks. The spider chosen to illustrate our event, however, does not weave a web. It’s a sea spider that symbolizes our region.” The complete program for these two days can be found on the Supermab website.
