Clearly, the frescoes created in Saint-Brieuc as part of the Shake Art festival are popular in the street art world. After that of the artist Iota which was selected in the global competition of the site streetartcities.com, two other Briochine works are in the running, this time for Golden Street-art.
Organized by the site trompe-l-oeil.info, this competition designates each year the most beautiful frescoes in France thanks to the votes of Internet users.
The works of a Briton and a Briochin preselected
The first pre-selected mural was created this summer by Dale Grimshaw, a British artist. On the facade of a building in the Point du Jour district, he represented the face of a “young native”, the name he gave to his work.
-The other comes straight from the imagination of a native of Saint-Brieuc: Smoka. Member of the 100 Pressure artists’ collective in Nantes, he transfigured the exterior wall of a residential building located at 119, rue Théodule-Ribot.
To support these two artists, go to the official Facebook page of the Golden Street Art competition, Street Frescoes. Internet users have until Sunday February 2, 2025, at 8 p.m., to choose the 10 works that will be selected for the final vote.
