The Fnac Forum des Halles is pleased to welcome the American duo Larkin Poe, for a showcase and a signing session*, to mark the release of their album “Bloom”.
About the album “Bloom”
While they spent the summer on the road alongside Slash; on the occasion of its SERPENT Festival, the duo of the Lovell sisters today announce “Bloom”, their new studio album, by launching “If God Was A Woman”, a single which follows the already brilliant “Bluephoria”. Like the album, this new song combines lush soundscapes with lyrics that direct the listener to profound contemporary issues, through the blues-infused sounds of the Mississippi hills.
“Bloom” follows “ BloodHarmony » (2022), Larkin Poe’s latest album, which was won a Grammy Award in the category “ Best Contemporary Blues Album”. This disc allowed the Lovell sisters to confirm their growing success in France.
“Meeting challenges often requires a lot of effort,” declared Rebecca Lovell, “but the liberating joy of deeper self-discovery is worth experiencing. « If God Is A Woman » was written to remind us that we must resist feminine stereotypes, whether conscious or unconscious. There are many nuances in existence, and we had fun painting the abstract with these devilish blues.”
