On January 14, the Princess of Wales spoke about her cancer journey in front of patients at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London. The opportunity to reveal more about the contours of his illness and his remission.
The year 2024 has been difficult for Kate Middleton. Suffering from cancer, the Princess of Wales announced last March her temporary withdrawal from royal life to complete her chemotherapy. After several months, she then reappeared, at the end of the summer, during the Wimbledon tournament, displaying resplendent hair, almost more voluminous and longer than before. This is rare in cancer patients, in whom massive hair loss is often inevitable. Arousing the amazement of fans and the appearance of all kinds of new conspiracy theories, many wondered if the wife of Prince William had not called on the best wigmakers to play the subterfuge. During a surprise visit on January 14 to the Royal Marsden Hospital, Kate Middleton finally answered the question.

The cooling cap
As she revealed to Katherine Field, a patient undergoing treatment, Kate Middleton herself was surprised to find that she had not lost her hair during her chemotherapy. This treatment may require, for some patients, the use of a cooling cap, which helps to limit hair loss. However, the latter assured that she did not need it, as reported by Katherine Field in the columns of People shortly after their conversation. “She just said she didn’t need it. For her to lose her hair, which is so iconic, would have been horrible. Everyone loves her hair!” Something entirely possible, a doctor assured following the reappearance of the princess, explaining that all cancer treatments do not always lead to hair loss.
At 43, the mother of George, Charlotte and Louis is more resplendent than ever. The same day of her visit to the hospital, she also confirmed “being in remission”. “I remain focused on my recovery. As anyone who has been diagnosed with cancer knows, it takes time to adjust to a new normal life. However, I am looking forward to the year to come,” she said of the results.
