A 44-year-old woman was stabbed on Saturday January 11, while she was jogging in a park located in the Nîmes region.
A suspect was arrested after the stabbing of a jogger near Nîmes, in the Gard, on Saturday January 11, BFMTV learned from a source close to the investigation this Saturday January 18. He is currently in police custody.
The 44-year-old woman was attacked with a knife while she was jogging in a park located in Vergèze, in the Gard. She had received “several blows from behind”, according to a press release from the public prosecutor of Nîmes Cécile Gensac.
The victim hospitalized
Witnesses present at the scene managed to scare away the perpetrator of this attack. The forty-year-old was taken to hospital, her vital prognosis being considered “committed” for a time, before stabilizing.
-A call for witnesses was then launched to find the perpetrator. A flagrant investigation into the charge of attempted homicide was opened and entrusted to the SR of Nîmes.
