As the fires continue to rage in Los Angeles, a benefit concert will take place on January 30, 2025. Entitled “FireAid”, it aims to raise funds to support “in the short term the relief efforts” among the disaster victims and to “long-term initiatives to prevent future wildfire disasters across California.” Part of the program was revealed on January 16.
Among the names announced, we note in particular the presence of Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas and the groups Green Day and Red Hot Chili Peppers. Other artists will be announced “in the coming days,” we can read on Instagram.
The concert will take place simultaneously in two venues in Los Angeles: the Kia Forum and the Intuit Dome. In the United States it will also be broadcast on radio and television. Viewers around the world will also be able to follow the show. We learn on the event website that various streaming platforms, such as Apple TV, Netflix Tudum or Prime Video, will broadcast the event. For its part, Amazon Music announces a live on Twitch.
