The cheapest plan costs $21.99 per month. It includes a basic subscription to Crave, with advertisements, and it allows you to watch either RDS or TSN, its English-speaking counterpart. The other plan is $28.99. It gives access to Crave’s Premium plan without adverts, as well as to one of Bell Media’s two sports channels.
This new offer is less expensive than an individual subscription to these two services. Currently, Crave’s basic plan goes for $9.99 per month, and $22 for the Premium plan. The monthly subscription to RDS costs $19.99. Note that all of these packages continue to exist in their separate form for those who are only interested in sports on TV, or only in Crave.
-Since 2019, viewers no longer need to be a cable subscriber to watch RDS. It is the only French-speaking Bell Media channel that can be listened to with a single subscription. To watch Canal Vie or Canal D, for example, you must pay for a bouquet of other specialized channels.
In recent years, with the emergence of online platforms like Netflix and Crave, cable television has continued to lose subscribers. In 2023, 63% of Quebecers subscribed to cable or optical fiber, according to data from the Academy of Digital Transformation. They were 77% in 2019.
