Three women on stage play the mothers’ strike

A scene. Three female characters. A mother and her two daughters, one of whom is ready to give birth. Pregnant up to her eyes, nine and a half months. But not really ready in his head. Not willing to give birth to this child, in this hustle and bustle, in this world not ready itself to welcome him in good conditions. A scene that would seem banal in everyday life! It’s a closed door of course, but outside, the only opening onto the world, revealed by videos projected over their intimacy as women, the anger rumbles, that of the street which demonstrates, and which hooks these three women back to reality news. The president speaks on television about the start of this mothers’ strike. Never seen before! And the closed session continues, revealing family and social intimacy, anxiety-provoking, the tension rises between these three characters. The visionary piece was written by Christian Roux and has already been performed by the new Dervish troupe, Bourrasque Compagnie, three times in the region. The three women, Isabelle, Agnès and Laure, are accompanied by video scenes designed and directed by Guillaume, performed by Véronique, David, Josselin, Sylviane, Cynthia, Marion, Philippe, Aurélie and lit by Noël. It will be presented on Saturday, January 25, at 8:30 p.m., at the city’s sociocultural center.
