A video, posted Wednesday on Instagram and Facebook, sparked a lot of reactions among residents. Comedian Pat Borg appears in the role of a bobo, on a parody of the song “Allo Maman Bobo” by Alain Souchon.

More than 300,000 views in two days, this is a great performance for the video “Les Bobos à Toulouse”, posted Wednesday by the “Toulousain” Troupe, composed in particular of the comedians Mélissa and Fred, and Pat Borg. The latter appears in the shoes of a Toulouse bobo, red cap on his head, who cycles along the Garonne, rolls on the lawn of the Jardin des Plantes or wanders, looking blissful, in the Place du Saline.

He covers the song “Allo Maman Bobo” by Alain Souchon, by twisting the lyrics. “I walk alone along rue Peyrolières, I have a hipster-style beard, wooden glasses, green chinos, my tote bag slung over my shoulder. For me the countryside is Aucamville. I prefer Les Carmes , it’s quieter, Mom, I’m a bohemian, I’ve never missed a Rio Loco, I drink organic Fronton.”

The success was immediate, to the surprise of Pat Borg. “We didn’t expect so many likes and reactions, it’s cool,” he smiles. “The boo-boos don’t get a bad reaction. Many of us recognize ourselves or people in them. It’s a laugh a lot on it. There are no negative comments.”

This cliché character, who goes thrift shopping at Saint-Cyp’ and who goes to see arthouse films at Utopia, wins the support of Internet users on a theme that had never been addressed by the “Toulousain” gang . For around ten years, they have accustomed us to posting chauvinistic videos on all kinds of subjects – the Toulouse- rivalry and Pas de la Casa are among the boxes. They regularly perform at Studio 55 in Montaudran. Pat Borg is currently playing “Toulousain: the concert”, a best of compositions and parodies of the Troupe, re-orchestrated with a guitarist and a drummer, in a production by Gilles Ramade.

“Toulousain: the concert” with Pat Borg, Jérôme Pizzato and Christian Martinaud, at Studio 55, 55 avenue Louis Breguet. Such. 06 48 31 00 49. Next dates January 18 at 9 p.m., February 8 at 9 p.m. and March 7 at 8:30 p.m. Prices: €21.
