With more than 70,000 copies sold, success is guaranteed! The humorous comic strip series “Everything is good in Breton”, by Guingamp resident Fabien Delettres, has found its audience.

Featuring the Breton family Le Biniou, in several illustrated sketches, he was able to translate into comics, and with humor, the specificities of the Breton mentality, particularly in the face of Parisian tourists.

Guillaume de Tonquédec and Ragnar Le Breton in the casting?

The success of his comic strip attracted the attention of film producers, who suggested that Fabien adapt his work for the big screen: “The project is launched. I want to write the scenario and the dialogues myself, in order to remain as faithful as possible to the comics. I hope to be able to direct the film, or at least co-direct it. Filming will obviously take place in .

On the casting side, Fabien is keen to feature actors with a link or attachment to Brittany: “It has to remain authentic, I don’t want a Parisian bobo to play the role of a pure Breton. I have already contacted certain actors, who gave me their verbal agreement, such as Guillaume de Tonquédec or Ragnar Le Breton. I would also like to include lovers of Brittany like Nolwenn Leroy or Antoine Duléry.” Julien Arrutti, member of Fifi’s gangpart of whose family is from Guingamp, will also be there.

Fabien has no shortage of ideas for making this film a success: “I want to do things well, because for me this is the project of a lifetime. I am in a hurry to bring this feature film to fruition, but you have to be patient: a film project requires three years of work, on average, to reach completion.”

While waiting for the film to see the light of day, Fabien is already working on the fourth volume of his comic book series, which is scheduled for release in 2026: “I already have the title, this fourth volume will be called More Breizh life”.

Enough to wait, before the release of the adventures of the Le Biniou family on the big screen!
