On Tuesday January 14, 2025, the main cultural players in Guilers presented the outlines of the new cultural season, which will begin with the traditional monthly cinema meeting “Travelling A” on Friday January 24.
For this first half of 2025, the mayor wanted to reiterate the municipality’s desire to maintain this quality in the shows offered. “We set up a cultural season in 2009, and the municipality wanted to continue this. The goal was to bring all social categories to culture. We can congratulate ourselves on the great shows we were able to have in Guilers, with artists who have since made their way and whom we would have difficulty bringing to us today. The satisfaction is that we have managed to attract the population of Guilers, and I congratulate the actors who are behind these judicious choices,” he underlined.
“To please the residents”
Quentin Echivard, cultural and association coordinator, also highlights the quality of the shows offered and the affordable price: “We choose shows above all to please the residents. These choices are open to different audiences, particularly young people. Considering the attendance, we’re not much wrong! “. Two youth shows, “Jeux de corps” and “Yolo Doudou”, are scheduled for Wednesday March 5 and 12. “The very affordable prices are also a desire so that everyone can benefit from this very important access to culture,” continues Quentin Echivard. Also worth mentioning, from the theater on April 25 with “The Shipwrecks of Ulysses” or on June 14 with “Dog in the Wild Mist of the Lost Forest”. Without forgetting the Music Festival on June 21.
The fest-noz of February 8, “a big blow”
An appointment is made on Saturday February 8 for the fest-noz with Plantec, Brujun and Vince/Raguenes, co-produced between the socio-cultural center L’Agora and the town hall of Guilers, a very beautiful poster which should attract fans. “We had the courage to do it, and it’s a big achievement that we were able to achieve thanks to this co-production with the town hall,” said Thibault Duperray, delighted. The final word was for Thierry Colas, deputy mayor in charge of culture, who confirmed: “It is very important to open the minds of the youngest to culture, and we will continue to apply ourselves in our choices, with nice surprises.”
