As part of the commemorations of the 80e anniversary of the liberation, two simultaneous exhibitions are currently visible at the Art’Rhena in Vogelgrun, one dedicated to the anti-Nazi deputy Julius Leber, native of Biesheim, from January 5 until February 23 and the other at the Shoah Memorial initiative, Simone Veil – An extraordinary destiny also open since January 5 and until January 25.
Simone Veil is the story of a tragedy, that of her deportation to Auschwitz, with her mother and her sister, where she discovered the absolute horror. She will be saved by this courage which marks her entire career, the stages of which belong to contemporary French history: health policy and abortion reform, commitment to Europe, and its fight for the cause of women everywhere.

The exhibition is visible on Wednesdays and Fridays, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., one hour before the start of the shows and by appointment by email at [email protected]
The room Simone Veil : the fights of a brazen is scheduled for this Saturday, January 18, at 8 p.m., at Art’Rhena. The actress Christiana Reali plays the stateswoman who survived the concentration camps.

Called to speak about Simone Veil in a radio show, she sets off in search of the memories of an entire generation who grew up with the struggles of this extraordinary woman. This show, performed for the first time in 2021, is an adaptation of Simone Veil’s memoirs which has been broadcast several times on the Olympia channel.
