Atmospheres 53, offers 12 sessions in 10 cinemas throughout Mayenne. Programme until Friday January 24, 2025.

Like every year, Atmosphères 53 addresses a specific theme. They are developed by the steering committeecomposed of around thirty people.

Guests

As at the usualall sessions will benefit from guests from the movie theater and health, who will shed light on their knowledge and will be able to debate with the spectators present.

Director Costa Gavras expected in Mayenne

This year the Cinéma et Santé film festival ends with the screening of the film The Last Breath, at 8 p.m., Friday January 24, at Vox, in Mayenne. The film will be screened in the presence of the director, Costa Gavras (director of Amen and Le Couperet), and Dr Grange, general practitioner specializing in palliative care.
Adapted from a work by Régis Debray and doctor Claude Grange, this committed film relates the philosophical debates on death between a palliative care doctor (Kad Merad) and a writer (Denis Podalydès).

Opening

The opening took place through the programming of documentary film “Toubib” by Antoine Page January 13 at Vox with the presence of Dr Kséna Breuil.

It will be rebroadcast on January 22 at Bourgneuf-la-forêt at the Trianon at 8:30 p.m.

Until January 24, 10 films or documentaries will follow one another in numerous rooms of the department with each session and professional health and/or cinema, who will moderate the debates.

“The new thing this year is that this season extends across the entire department and will reach more people,” concludes Wilfried Jude.
